PLANNING GUIDE

Give the provider a usable route record

Access information connects an item’s current position with the endpoint expected from a handling job. For heavy labour enquiries, a route note helps the provider ask the right questions early. It records observations and known restrictions; it does not certify floor capacity, clearances or the suitability of a movement method.

Describe the route as stages

Show the starting position, any intermediate areas and the final receiving position. Give each stage a reference that matches the photographs or sketch. Mention where a vehicle is expected to stand and where the factory contact will meet the team. A route described only as “inside the same building” can conceal important interfaces between doors, shared passages and separate work areas.

Record dimensions with their source

If measurements are available, state what was measured, when and by whom. Identify projections or temporary obstructions that affect the discussion. Keep estimates clearly marked. The provider and responsible technical parties may still need a site review or verified specifications. Avoid treating a rough phone measurement as proof that the assessed arrangement will fit through every part of the route.

List known changes and prerequisites

Explain which obstructions will be removed, which areas need permission and which positions may change before attendance. Name the party responsible for each prerequisite. If a door arrangement or receiving route is revised after quotation, send the new information promptly. The earlier route note should remain available so everyone can see what changed and which assumptions need review.

Request assessment of open questions

Put unresolved issues in a short list rather than filling the gaps with assumptions. Ask the appropriate provider or site specialist what information or review is required. Keep access observations separate from engineering approval and manufacturer instructions. The most useful result is a route record that supports a responsible assessment, with a clear link between the agreed arrangement and the site conditions described.

Your preparation checklist

  • Start, intermediate and receiving positions
  • Referenced photographs or route sketch
  • Measurement source and known restrictions
  • Prerequisites and questions requiring assessment

Questions about this topic

Does a route sketch confirm that the work is suitable?

No. It supports the discussion. Suitability must be assessed by the responsible parties using the relevant item, site and handling information.

How can I discuss this requirement with Dayanand?

Send your factory address, item details, photographs and preferred date through the enquiry form or WhatsApp. The Bawana team will discuss the scope and available support for your proposed work.
